The first screen will display a list of all your existing rate adjustments. You can filter this list by past or current adjustments. The columns available include Description, Start Date, End Date, Readjustment Change, Minimum Stay Length, and Maximum Stay Length.
Click “Add Rate Adjustment” to create a new adjustment or click on an existing adjustment name to view its settings and make changes.
In the “Description” field, enter a brief description for this rate adjustment (e.g., “New Year Holiday”). Next, you can choose whether to increase or decrease the rate and enter the amount, which can either be a flat dollar amount or a percentage.
Set the start and end dates for the rate adjustment. Make sure to select the days on which this adjustment should apply. For example, if you’re increasing rates by $100 on weekends only, check the boxes for Friday and Saturday.
Finally, check the boxes next to each rate plan that this adjustment should apply to.
Set the minimum and maximum stay requirements for reservations where this rate adjustment applies. You can configure this to suit your needs, for example, requiring a minimum stay of two nights during certain periods.
For last-minute bookings, you can choose whether to ignore the minimum stay requirement if the time between booking and reservation start date is less than or equal to a certain number of days.
If the “Reduce Minimum Stay” option is set to “Yes,” the system will automatically adjust the minimum stay based on availability. For example, if there is a two-night minimum stay set for Friday and Saturday but the reservation is for Saturday and Sunday, the system will allow a one-night stay for Friday if that night is available.
You can also configure the adjustment to apply only when the length of the reservation meets a specific minimum, or only when the check-in date is within a certain number of days away (either less than or equal to or greater than a specific number of days). This offers flexibility for adjusting rates based on booking proximity.
If needed, you can set the adjustment to ignore any discounts that have been directly set in the rate rule, specifically the multi-night discount section.
You can also disable discount codes for dates covered by this rate adjustment. To do so, set the “Disable Discount Codes” option to “Yes.” This ensures that discount codes cannot be used during the date range of this rate adjustment.
If you need to delete a rate adjustment, you can find the link to delete the rate adjustment at the bottom of the rate adjustment settings screen.
You may quickly adjust rates by entering a rate adjustment. Rate adjustments are useful when you need to change rates for certain days and you don’t want to edit your rate rule. For example, you could add the rate adjustment to cover the new year holiday.
When adding a rate adjustment you’ll be prompted to select which rate plans the adjustment applies too. If there are plans you do not want to be effected by the rate adjustment to not select those plans.
Yes, you can set whether your rate adjustment increases or decreases the standard price.
